Writing is hard. That’s what everyone says. But the reason isn’t what you’d think.
It’s easy to learn the rules. Most of us get the basics drilled into us in grade school. Grammar and spell-check programs help with the rest.
Putting words on a page isn’t difficult either. Get a prompt book, spit some ideas out, and you’ve written. Easy peasy.
The hard part comes when we want to write something meaningful. It requires us to search ourselves and put on the page what we can’t say out loud.
It’s also hard when we want to say something others don’t want to hear. We need the courage to pen bold statements and share our perspectives.
Writing is hard. It always has been and always will be, but don’t let it stop you from trying.

Thanks for sharing Lisa! Writing is hard.
I agree. Sometimes, it is your soul or the very essence of your being you are sharing. I think it leaves us feeling exposed and wondering what others will think.
