WCCW Meeting Schedule:

We meet the 4th Monday of each month, 6:30 p.m.
The meeting concludes around 8:00 p.m.

OUR LOCATION: 
First Community Bank
800 E Beebe Capps Expressway.
(Between Dairy Queen and Pizza Hut)

As always, prospective members are welcome to learn more about us by attending a meeting. There is no obligation … but there will be snacks.

Program: Short Story Read Around. We’re inviting everyone to share with the group a new short story based on the principles taught in the July meeting. 500 word limit.

Discover the emerging art of flash fiction: stories told with precision, purpose, and impact. In this meeting we’ll explore drabbles and microfiction as we discuss practical techniques to help you say more with fewer words.

Program: Flash Fiction Read Around. Everyone will be invited to bring a new short fiction piece based on the principles and techniques discussed in the September meeting.

Giving Thanks Read Around

November 23, 2026. Program: As the  holiday season approaches, we’ll have a special Giving Thanks Read-Around. After a brief discussion of plans for the coming year, members are invited to share an original poem, essay, memoir, or short story (as in flashy-short) inspired by the theme of thankfulness and gratitude. 350 word limit.

December 2026. Christmas Party.
