We meet on the 4th Monday of each month, at 6:30 p.m.

As always, prospective members are welcome to learn more about us by attending a meeting. There is no obligation … but there will be snacks!

Program: First Paragraph Read Around.
We’ll discuss a few more ideas about sentence structure and story structure. We’ll also have a read around: bring a first paragraph (or first sentence) of something you have written, something you are currently writing, or one of your favorite books. Here are some notes to help prepare for the meeting.

Program: Contest Read Around
If you entered something in one of our contests this year, we invite you to read it at this meeting. Even if you didn’t enter a contest, you’re still invited to bring something to read!

Program: Between the Lines
We’ll focus on how to write realistic, purposeful dialogue that reveals character, advances plot, and keeps readers engaged.

Program: Dialogue Read Around
Everyone is invited to bring a story, or part of a story, highlighting dialogue you have written. This will be a follow-up to the July program.
