Laticia Harris
Laticia Harris was born in Kansas, where she lived until attending college at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas.
While at John Brown, she met her husband. They moved to Tennessee briefly so he could attend graduate school and then settled in Searcy, Arkansas. Along the way, they had two adorable children.
Laticia is a licensed educator, but has postponed a full time career in education to focus on her children. She currently teaches an adult ESL class once a week at a local nonprofit.
Laticia has been a writer since grade school. Her first (illustrated!) story, circa third grade, was about a little lost bird. At the moment, she mainly writes poetry, particularly free verse. She has also dabbled in writing plays and short stories, and has several ideas for novels.
She is an avid reader of fantasy and occasionally sci-fi, and hopes to one day complete a novel of her own.
Laticia is the Spotlight Member for June 2022. You can read her blog posts here.
